Dr. Lawrence Dade Lunsford is the Lars Leksell Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He currently is co-director of the Center For Image-Guided Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and Director of the Residency Program. Dr. Lunsford’s primary scholarly and patient care interests have been related to the combination of imaging and brain surgery. Dr. Peter Black was born in Canada and grew up in Northern Ontario. While in high school, he became an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto as a solo performer in piano. He attended Harvard College, graduating with honors. He returned to Canada for medical school at McGill University. He entered surgical and then neurosurgical residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Roberto C. Heros Roberto C. Heros

Roberto C. Heros was born in 1942 in Havana, Cuba. After the Communist takeover in 1960, he left Cuba for exile. He participated as a paratrooper platoon commander in the Bay of Pigs invasion and was captured. After serving two years in prison, Dr. Heros was released as a result of an exchange with the United States Government. Arnold Menezes was born in Bombay, India, where he attended the Topiwala National Medical College at Bombay University; graduating in 1967. He completed his neurosurgical training at the University of Iowa in 1973 under the tutelage of George Perret, MD, and Carl Graf, MD; adding fellowship training in Pediatric Neurology under William Bell, MD, and joined the faculty the following year. Julian Hoff was born in Boise, Idaho on September 22, 1936. He grew up in Caldwell, Idaho. He attended Stanford University where he was awarded his Bachelors Degree in 1958. He then attended Cornell University Medical College in New York City, graduating in 1962. He took General Surgery training for the next two years at the New York Hospital followed by two years as a General Surgeon in the United States Army in Japan.
